3100 SERIES FM INK
Properties
Low temperature curing. Excellent adhesion. Resistance to heat & solvent. Treated PET film for IMD.Various plastic nameplates.
INTRODUCTIONS
3100 SERIES FM INK is two-component type of ink that dries at low temperature. FM INK is suitable for plastics or films which cannot stand drying at high temperature. FM INK can be used for the applications that requires post-processability, heat-resistance or solvent resistance.
APPLICATIONS
Treated PET film for insert-molding that requires heat resistance. Electric appliances and name plates of ABS, acryl, rigid vinyl and polycarbonate.
CHARACTERISTICS
FM INK adheres to wide range of substrates.
FM INK dries at low temperature(70-80°C)(158-176°F).
Excellent resistance to heat, chemicals and solvent.
Long pot life. Good stability on the machine. Good printability.
HOW TO USE
Add FM HARDENER by 10-15% and thinner by 10-30% to the ink and stir well. Use PC THINNER(fast drying, standard drying, slow drying, retarder).
DRYING
Standard drying conditions: 70°C(158°F) 30 minutes or 80°C(176°F) 20 minutes. Although FM INK dries at lower temperature, it takes longer to dry. Tack free condition can be obtained by drying at room temperature (approx.10-30 minutes). However, as it takes 4~6 days to dry at room temperature, above mentioned forced drying are recommended.
POT LIFE
8 hours at room temperature. It is not advised to use the mixture after pot life as the properties of ink film degrade although the mixture is fluid enough to print even after30-40 hours.
ACCELERATOR
Add accelerator, JA-E111 is added, pot life becomes shorter as below.
– Addition 2% : Approx. 6 hours
– Addition 4% : Approx. 4 hours
STENCIL & WASHING UP
Use photo-stencil. VINYL CLEANING THINNER is recommended for washing up.
COLORS & TYPE OF PACKING
Standard 18 colors, EXO(extra opaque) 5 colors, transparent 4 colors. 1kg can
FM HARDENER : 0.1kg can, 0.4kg can
JA-E111 : 0.05kg can
PRECAUTIONS
– HARDENER reacts to humidity and gels. Do not leave the container with its lid open. Store the HARDENER in a cool and dark place with the lids tightly closed. HARDENER is effective for about 3-months after delivery if stored as instructed.
– Please refer to (M)SDS before use.
– Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.

Weathering resistance depends on the color. Please refer to lightfastness chart before use.
Weathering resistance is remarkably degraded if the ink is diluted with white ink or clear ink.
