8100 SERIES SNAP INK

Properties
Low odor. No cracking on substrates. Excellent physical properties. Polycarbonate, Acryl, PS, AS, ABS. Especially for industrial applications.

INTRODUCTIONS
8100 SERIES SNAP INK is designed for automobile meters/name plates made of polycarbonate and acrylic resin. SNAP INK is evaporative drying type of ink with excellent flexibility.

APPLICATIONS
Industrial meters/nameplates made of polycarbonate, acryl, ABS, rigid vinyl.

CHARACTERISTICS
Low odor. SNAP INK does not cause cracking on the material.
Good adhesion. Post-processability such as punching is good.
Good printability. Crawling / pin-holes do not happen.
Excellent weathering resistance.

HOW TO USE
Dilute the ink with #1 THINNER(fast drying), #2(standard), #3(slow) or #4(retarder). Cracks happen if other type of thinner is used.
Dilute the ink with Styrol Thinner(fast drying, standard drying, slow drying, #4 retarder) when the substrate is moulded matter as cracks may be caused by distrotion at moulding. Styrol Thinner is also recommended for polycarbonate as cracks may happen even on polycarbonate sheet depending on its grade.

DRYING
Tack free time on polycarbonate diluted with 20% thinner.
#2 standard drying : Approx.15 min at 25°C(77°F)
#3 slow drying : Approx.30 min at 25°C(77°F)
#4 retarder : Approx.60 min at 25°C(77°F)
Complete drying is obtained at 80°C(176°F) for 10 minutes.

STENCIL & WASHING UP
Use photo-stencil. Use VINYL CLEANING THINNER.

COLORS & TYPE OF PACKING
Standard 19 colors, Transparent 4 colors, EXO 6 colors. 1kg can

PRECAUTIONS

  1. Although ink dries at room temperature, it is recommended to do heat-drying to obtain better properties. Heat-drying is especially necessary in case of over-printing.
  2. Alcohol resistance is not good. If the good alcohol resistance is required, use 8000 SERIES PC INK.
  3. Only black, white and clear are normally in our stock. Please check with other colors on placing orders.
  4. Please refer to MSDS before use.
  5. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.

Weathering resistance depends on the color. Please refer to lightfastness chart before use.
Weathering resistance is remarkably degraded if the ink is diluted with white ink or clear ink.
