9300 SERIES HIPET INK
Properties
Thick ink film. Good flexibility. Resistance to heat & solvent.
Polyester film & sheet.Especially for polyester nameplates.
INTRODUCTIONS
9300 SERIES HIPET INK is two-component type of urethane ink designed for polyester film and polycarbonate.
HIPET INK is suitable for heat molding and insert molding. Printed ink film is tough and flexible as well as resistant to heat.
APPLICATIONS
The heat resistant plastics such as polyester film and polycarbonate, primed metal, thermo-setting resin, glass and aluminum.
HOW TO USE
Mix the ink with Hardener and accelerator at the following ratio.
– 9300 SERIES HIPET INK : 100
– HARDENER JA-950 : 10
– ACCELERATOR JA-E11: 2-4
Dilute the mixture with Tetron Thinner. Use PC THINNER for polycarbonate. As there are fast drying, standard drying, slow drying and retadar types in thinner, choose the best type depending on the environmental temperature and size of the printing matters.
POT LIFE
The pot life of the mixture is approximately 1 to 4 hours at 20°C(68°F).
DRYING
Heat drying at 100°C(212°F) for 20 to 60 minutes. As the curing time changes depending on the amount of the Hardeners and the viscosity of the mixture, it is recommended to pre-test to decide drying time.
STENCILS & WASHING UP
Use the photo stencil. Use VINYL CLEANING THINNER for washing up.
COLORS & TYPE OF PACKING
Standard 15 colors. 1 kg can
PRECAUTIONS
1. 9300SD SERIES, which is slower drying type, is available. As 9300SD is manufactured on demand, there is no stock.
2. Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet before use.
3. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.

NOTES
The following mixing ratio is recommended depending on the purposes.
To obtain hard ink film. (Hardeners JA-970 used)
– 9300 SERIES HIPET INK : 100
– Hardener JA-970 : 10-20
Ink film becomes harder than 4H with this mixture. As the toughness of the ink film is spoiled, good adhesion might not be obtained on some substrates.
To obtain flexible ink film. (Hardeners JA-940 used)
– 9300 SERIES HIPET INK : 100
– Hardener JA-940 : 10-20
– Accelerator JA-E11 : 1-3
Although ink film with excellent flexibility can be obtained, solvent resistance is slightly spoiled.
Applications Usage
Polyester film & sheet.
Especially for polyester nameplates.
