1700 SERIES HIT INK

INTRODUCTIONS
1700 SERIES HIT INK has superior heat resistance. HIT INK is suitable for automobile name plates, the panels of vending machine that are vacuum-molded and sign boards with electric lamps.

APPLICATIONS
Polycarbonate, acrylic cast plate, ABS, rigid vinyls.

CHARACTERISTICS
1. Excellent resistance to blocking and heat.
2. Strong ink film has good resistance to impact, bending and punching. Processability after print is good.
3. Superior weathering resistance.
4. Excellent resistance to oil, alcohol, and chemicals.
5. Lifting phenomenon doesn’t occur in case of multiple-layer printing.

HOW TO USE
Dilute the ink with PC THINNER. (STANDARD DRYING, SLOW DRYING and FAST DRYING) Choose the most suitable type for the printing conditions. SPECIAL RETARDAR is recommended to make drying slower.

PRECAUTIONS
1. Tackfree time means as follows:
Dilute HIT INK 1701 WHITE with 15% THINNER.
Print with SOLID PRINT stencil. (6 X 6 cm, T250 meshes/inch)
When the printed surface is touched with finger, the trace of finger does not show.
2. Tackfree time table above is not guarantee. Actual tackfree time is changed depending on the printing conditions such as coating thickness and how many layers are printed.
3. Although ink dries at room temperature, heat drying is recommended to maximize the ink properties.
4. When used on polycarbonate, ink penetrates into the material, which makes tackfree time short. On the contrary, it takes longer to get complete drying.
5. There are no problems for transparent polycarbonate and transparent acryl cast plate although cracking problem might happen to injections, colored materials and molded materials. It is advised that test printing should be done for these materials to determine the most suitable countermeasures such as annealing . The situation might be improved by using SSP STANDARD THINNER.
5. HIT INK gives hard ink film. “8000 SERIES PC INK” is recommended for flexibility.
6. HIT INK has comparatively strong odor, “8100 SERIES SNAP INK” is recommended for lower odor.
7. Please refer to MSDS before use.
8. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.

  1. The information given here is based on our laboratory testing and no firm guarantee is implied.
  2. Weathering resistance depends on the color. The resistance of matched colors especially smoke and pale colors, are generally poorer than standard colors. Please refer to lightfastness chart before use.
