RC PEP-Z (HV)SERIES

Properties
Fast curing. Good adhesion. Water & alcohol resistance.
Flame-treated PE/PP bottles.

INTRODUCTIONS
RC PEP-Z(HV) SERIES is designed for flame-treated PE/PP bottles. High performances and gloss finish can be obtained with reasonable price. PEP-Z(HV) is suitable for high-speed print as it cures with low integral light quantity. All colors are conformed to EN71-3.

APPLICATIONS
Flame-treated polyethylene bottles/polypropyrene bottles.

CHARACTERISTICS
1. One-component type. Excellent adhesion.
2. PEP-Z(HV) cures with low integral light quantity. Suitable for high-speed print.
3. Cured ink film is hard and resistant to scratch.
4. Reproducibility of fine patterns is good.
5. PEP-Z(HV) do not contain any harmful materials such as heavy metal or N-Vinyl Pyrrolidone. All colors are conformed to EN71-3.

HOW TO USE
1. Ink is supplied in ready-to-use condition. Stir well before use.
2. Add PEP-Z REDUCER up to 10%, if necessary.
3. Add CLEAR to lower density. (Adding ratio is subject to the conditions.)
4. PEP-Z(HV) can be usually used without any additive. However, add JAR-18 by 1-3% when the adhesion is not good due to the substrate. The mixture of ink and additive has pot life and should be used up within 12 hours.
5. Standard curing conditions: (These conditions change depending on the substrate.)
Metal halide lamp 120W/cm, Distance from focus : 10 cm
Conveyor speed : 20 m/min (Integral light : approx.120 mJ/cm²)
6. Mesh : Polyester >350 meshes/inch, Thickness of sol : <10 microns

COVERAGE
Approx. 70-90 m²/kg

COLOR RANGE
CLEAR, WHITE, OPAQUE WHITE, YELLOW, LEMON YELLOW, ORANGE, BRIGHT RED, RED, GERANIUM, PINK, VIOLET, BLUE, DEEP BLUE, SKY BLUE, MARINE BLUE, GREEN, BLACK

TYPE OF PACKING
1kg plastic container

PRECAUTIONS
1. The viscosity and printability of the ink change depending on the temperature. The printability in summertime is different from that in wintertime.
2. Although skin irritation is low(P.I.I:<2.0), it is advised to avoid skin contact with the ink. In case of contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
3. Store the ink in a cool and dark place. Stir occasionally to keep stability when the ink is stored for a long time.
4. Stir well before use as de-foamer might be separated.
5. You can add JA-950H by 1-2% instead of JAR-18 when better adhesion is required. The cost can be reduced by using JA-950H, although pot life of the mixture is 4-8 hours.
6. Please refer to MSDS before use.
7. Be sure to do trial print before commercial run to confirm that the product fits the purposes.
